How to Withdraw from BitMart
Withdrawing from BitMart is still routine — the exchange is processing requests and there's no evidence of missing funds. What changes as the shutdown progresses is friction: compliance checks, queues, and thinning liquidity. This guide is ordered so the irreversible mistakes come first. Total time if nothing goes wrong: about an hour, plus however long your new exchange takes to verify you.
The dates that matter: all trading stops 26 Aug 2026, 01:00 UTC. BitMart asks for withdrawal requests by 05:00 UTC the same day. Withdrawals continue after that — with more checks — until at least 31 Jan 2027, and for an unannounced "specified period" beyond. Unannounced is the key word: nobody knows when the door actually closes.
Step 1: Export Your Transaction History
This step is first because it's the one people skip and can never redo. Once the platform winds down, there is no support desk to email for your 2026 trade records. If you sold anything this year — and selling before the halt counts — your tax return needs cost-basis data that only exists in BitMart's records.
- Download your full trade history, not just this year's. Cost basis for a token you bought in 2023 lives in the 2023 records.
- Export deposit and withdrawal history too — you'll need it to prove where funds came from if your new exchange asks (they increasingly do).
- Save PDFs or CSVs somewhere permanent, plus screenshots of your current balances.
"Download your complete transaction history (CSV files, trade history, deposits, withdrawals, earn/staking history, etc.). [...] They can be incredibly difficult, or impossible to retrieve once a platform is gone, and you'll want them for taxes and future cost basis calculations."

Step 2: Unwind Everything That Isn't a Spot Balance
Only spot balances can be withdrawn. Everything else needs to become a spot balance first:
- Open orders — cancel them. After the halt the system cancels them for you, but don't leave your exit to a batch job.
- Earn / Staking / Lending / Launchpad — redeem now. BitMart says these products wind down "in phases according to their respective product arrangements", which means different products have different clocks and none of them are published. A locked position you ignore is a position you may be chasing through a compliance process in December.
- Futures — accounts have been reduce-only since July 26. Close what's left; after August 26 open positions may be force-settled at mark price, which is rarely the price you'd have picked.
Step 3: Decide Where Each Asset Goes
For majors and anything listed on big exchanges, this is easy — pick your destination from the comparison table and open the account now, because KYC can take hours to days and the queue grows as the deadline approaches. For the long tail of small-caps, check each token on CoinGecko or CoinMarketCap first: if no other exchange lists it, you need the delisted-tokens playbook (short version: sell here, or self-custody it).
One honest simplification worth considering: if you hold twenty small positions, selling everything into USDT on BitMart and moving one balance is faster, cheaper in withdrawal fees, and easier on your tax records than twenty separate token withdrawals. You give up your positions — that's the trade-off, and only you know if it's worth it.
Step 4: Match the Network Exactly
Every withdrawal has a network choice: USDT alone can travel over TRC-20, ERC-20, BEP-20, Solana, and more. The rule has two halves, and people forget the second:
- The network you withdraw on must be the same network your destination deposit address uses.
- Don't pick a network just because its fee is lowest — the receiving platform must support that exact network for that exact token. Cheap on the sending side and unsupported on the receiving side is how funds disappear.
- Generate the deposit address on the destination, select the network there, and match BitMart's withdrawal network to it. Never from memory.
- XRP, XLM, EOS, and some others need a memo/tag in addition to the address. Miss the memo and your deposit lands in the exchange's omnibus wallet with a recovery ticket as your only hope — during a shutdown, assume that ticket never gets answered.
- Withdrawing an ERC-20 token to a self-custody wallet? Make sure the wallet is on the right chain and you've added the token contract — see the token guide for doing that safely.
Step 5: Test Send, Then the Real Send
Send a small test first: just above BitMart's minimum withdrawal for that asset, and large enough to cover the network fee. (Not a fixed "$10" — for some tokens the minimum or the fee is higher than that.) When it arrives and is credited:
- Send the rest to the same address you already used — don't re-paste it.
- Any time you do paste an address, check the first and last four characters. Clipboard-swapping malware is real and it spikes around exchange shutdowns, when it knows large one-off transfers are happening.
- Expect email + 2FA confirmation on each withdrawal. That's normal. What's not normal is anyone contacting you about your withdrawal — see the scam section below.
Step 6: If a Compliance Check Lands on You
BitMart has said withdrawals may involve identity re-verification, device and IP checks, withdrawal-address screening, source-of-funds review, and sanctions screening — and that processing slows when request volumes surge. In practice, from other exchange wind-downs, this looks like: your withdrawal sits in "processing", then an email asks for a selfie, a document, or an explanation of where the funds came from.
- Respond promptly and factually. The people processing these queues are working through a backlog; clean answers move faster than arguments.
- This is where your exported deposit history (step 1) earns its keep — "bought on BitMart in 2024, records attached" is a complete answer.
- Checks get more likely, not less, as the wind-down progresses — one more reason the right time to withdraw is now.
"BitMart has literally said that requests to withdraw your assets, after they announced a shutdown, may get extra compliance and identity checks. Read that again. Your funds are now on their timeline, not yours."

"Withdrawals unavailable and support not responding. What should I do?"
r/BitMartExchange · Jul 28, 2026, user with 72,628 USDC pending · source — early days saw widespread "on-chain withdrawal freeze" reports; some cleared, some are still pending. One more argument for starting now, not on deadline week.
Step 7: Land Properly on the Other Side
- Make a small test trade on the new exchange before committing your size — you want to see real spreads and fees on your pairs, not the marketing page's.
- Check the new exchange's withdrawal fees too, while you're at it. You now know how much that matters.
- If part of your stack is long-term holdings, consider whether it needs to be on an exchange at all — a hardware wallet doesn't have a shutdown announcement in its future.
The Scams to Expect While You Do All This
BitMart will never charge an "expedited processing fee", an "account unfreezing fee", or a "security deposit" — paid priority-withdrawal channels do not exist. Staff will never ask for your password, 2FA codes, private keys, or seed phrase. Every "BitMart support agent" who DMs you first on Telegram or WhatsApp is a scammer, without exception. Type the official domain yourself; never log in through a link someone sent you during this period.
Troubleshooting
My Assets Aren't Showing in the App
Check Earn and Futures balances separately from spot — funds in discontinued products may not appear in your main wallet view until redeemed. If a balance is genuinely missing, file a support ticket from inside your account (not through any link sent to you) and screenshot everything, including the ticket number.
My Withdrawal Has Been "processing" for Days
Most likely a compliance queue, not a lost transaction. Check your email (and spam) for a verification request — unanswered requests are the most common reason withdrawals stall. If there's nothing, open a ticket and wait it out; escalating through unofficial channels only finds you scammers.
I Missed a Memo/tag on an XRP/XLM/EOS Transfer
Contact the receiving platform's support with the transaction hash — recovery happens on their side, usually for a fee, sometimes slowly. This is recoverable more often than people fear, but only the recipient can do it.
